Great information about the think tanks at HBCUs. I wonder if these think tanks are available to collaborate on projects that go outside what the other think tanks do. The PWIs, Brookings, Urban Institute, and MSI focus on theory and tired research that does not require a PhD. Yet, these think tanks continue to get funding and kudos from recycled material. It appears these think tanks make or get money off of the misery of Blacks, but rarely put those theories to test. It is not like these groups lack money, but instead initiative to test.
I would like to see HBCU think tanks not theorize the usual stuff, but realize the ideas in real world tests. Also, think (pun not intended) outside of the box with different areas that have not been discussed or researched in theory. Doing so would bring attention to the respective HBCU and possibly funding.
I am game to work with these think tanks on some ideas. Let’s go.
